Hi!

On Wednesday, Ken McIntyre, Wally Borschel, Howard Wiggins and I met up with Wil Brennan of the Forest Service at Penny Pines.  We brushed south about .5 mile to connect up with some earlier work we had done in the area north from the Storm Canyon overlook.  Sorry, no pics from this outing but the trail looks great and I expect the through hikers will appreciate the effort.
On Sunday, K-Mac and I led a hard working crew of Andi Ramer, Don Ramer, John Vanderpot and Cris Francisco out on the West Mesa trail in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park.  We worked on some heavily overgrown areas on the West Mesa trail near its junction with Burnt Pine.  I've included a photo of the group.  Post work, we headed back to Paso Picacho campground for lunch at a shady picnic table.
Meanwhile, also on Sunday, Scott Mills and Scott Crellin lead a group of Tracy Dimino, Elizabeth Kocek, Bradley Barrick and Ryan Healy to work on the west end of the Secret Canyon trail.

Some photos from their outing are attached and you can see that they hit the part of the trail that was pretty seriously overgrown.  It was pretty warm (low 80s) in Cuyamaca so I imagine it was significantly hotter down in Secret Canyon.
So, thanks to everyone for all of their hard work.  We are really making some dramatic improvement to local trail conditions!
