To borrow a phrase from Winnie the Pooh, it was a blustery Windsday, when we arrived at the Pine Creek trailhead.  I passed out the new official Friend of the Trail t-shirts, which were modelled by our wind-blown crew of Ken McIntyre, Howard Wiggins (just back in action after minor surgery), Julie and Carlos Santillan and Brian Recore (see attached photo).  We hiked into the point where we had left off previously and began a new assault on the over growth.

Much chopping, digging, lopping, hacking, cursing, etc. ensued.  All in all, we cleared about .25 mile of trail to boulevard like condition.  It was a lovely sunny day with enough wind to occassionally blow our tossed cuttings back in our faces.  It took us about an hour and twenty minutes to hike back to the trailhead so I estimate we are about 4 miles in.  The attached photos include some nice shots of the mortar-free rock wall laid down in the early part of the 20th century.  Many thanks to our hard working crew!
